At their 1554th meeting, on 12 March, the Ministers’ Deputies adopted a Recommendation to member States on the European Charter on the participation of young people in local and regional life and took note of its Explanatory Memorandum. The charter sets out standards and mechanisms for young people to engage in democratic processes, decision making and community rebuilding at local and regional levels, through safe, inclusive, accessible formats, also in times of crisis [more information …].
The Deputies also held an exchange of views with Mr Luis Lopez Guerra, Chair of the Advisory Panel of Experts on Candidates for Election as Judge to the European Court of Human Rights, on the Advisory Panel’s recent activities and ongoing work.
