HELP course on Child Friendly Justice for legal professionals launched online in the Republic of Moldova

The Council of Europe HELP course on Child Friendly Justice is officially launched online today - 5 June 2020, in Chisinau by the Council of Europe Office in the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with Lawyers Union of the Republic of Moldova.

The HELP course on Child Friendly Justice aims to translate Council of Europe legal standards and practical guidelines into practice and provide support for legal professionals to effectively implement them in their daily work.

The adapted online training is piloted for a group of 41 legal professionals, including lawyers / trainee lawyers and representatives of local NGOs La Strada and Centre for Child Abuse Prevention.  The course will be carried out over a period of three months.

The implementation of the HELP course on Child Friendly Justice in the Republic of Moldova is carried out with the support of the Council of Europe project on combating violence against children in the Republic of Moldova, within the project immediate outcome 4: Improved skills and know-how of professionals to respond to violence against children (VAC) and promote child-friendly practices.

The European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) is the only pan-European Network of national training institutions for judges, prosecutors and lawyers in the 47 member states of the Council of Europe. It is an e-learning platform with free on-line courses on human rights and a human rights training methodology for legal professionals.
