Council of Europe Week in the Republic of Moldova 2023: Impact on human rights and everyday lives

The Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, marked on 10-16 July the Council of Europe Week in 2023 through several events: a living Library, storytelling by victims of hate speech and hate crimes, a public art exhibition focused on migration and the need for safety, a Flash mob in collaboration with the General Police Inspectorate, and the screening of documentaries featuring social issues in rural areas. All these events aimed to inspire people, by supporting and giving visibility to our fundamental rights and freedoms and to the positive impact that the Council of Europe is making on people’s lives.

The Council of Europe Week 2023 in the Republic of Moldova marked the 28th anniversary of the country's accession to the Council of Europe. All these events aimed to inspire people, by promoting the Council of Europe core values, reaching out to the public in the regions and giving visibility to our fundamental rights and freedoms and to the positive impact that the Council of Europe is making on people’s lives.
