Under the authority of the Head of Office and the supervision of the Head of the Economic Crime and Cooperation Division, Action against Crime Department, Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law, the Project Linguistic Assistant will carry out multiple administrative and linguistic assignments to assist in the implementation of the project ‘Action against Corruption in the Republic of Moldova’. 

This local recruitment procedure is open to applicants already present in the Republic of Moldova. Only applicants who best meet the following criteria will be considered for shortlisting.

Employment is currently limited to the duration of the project that is expected to end on 30 November 2021 and it may be prolonged beyond this date.

Qualifications: Completed full course of general secondary education, followed by a post-secondary qualification corresponding to a minimum of two years’ studies;  A post-secondary qualification corresponding to a minimum of two years studies in translation, linguistics or other relevant field would be an advantage.

Experience:  At least two years of relevant professional experience in carrying out administrative duties in the field of international or European co-operation projects.

Language requirements: Excellent knowledge of Romanian (mother tongue level); Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English); Knowledge of French and/or Russian would be an advantage.

Nationality: Nationality of one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.

Age: Under 65 years of age at the closing date of the vacancy notice.
