The Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Moldova (SCJ) advanced the drafting of its Internal Regulation through a two-day working session with judges, judicial assistants and members of the Secretariat, focused on revising the first draft of the document.
The consultations enabled participants to clarify internal governance arrangements in a comprehensive manner and to refine procedures for the effective performance of judicial and administrative functions. The discussions also led to the drafting and refinement of new chapters on the newly introduced functions of the Jurisconsult and the Deputy Secretary General, thereby strengthening the Court’s institutional framework.
The Internal Regulation constitutes a central instrument for the implementation of the reform under Law No. 64 on the Supreme Court of Justice, ensuring the effective translation of the new legal framework into operational procedures. The adoption of the Regulation remains subject to approval by the SCJ Plenary, once it is established.
The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.”
