Judicial staff came together for a four-day training course aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the courts, improving access to justice and promoting the development of more user-centred judicial services.
The training brought together national and international experts to share practical knowledge on the CEPEJ’s tools relating to court accessibility, case management, cyberjustice and the responsible use of artificial intelligence within Georgia’s judicial systems.
Participants explored practical approaches to reducing case backlogs, improving case flow management and enhancing the efficiency of court support functions. During the training, issues surrounding the use of digital tools (including AI) were discussed. Digitalisation and the use of AI in judicial systems can facilitate legal research, document analysis and drafting. However, it was emphasised that human oversight remains essential to guarantee the ethical standards and quality of judgements in judicial practice.
The programme highlighted the importance of a people-centred justice system, encouraging participants to reflect on issues of accessibility, transparency and the needs of citizens. Through interactive exercises and the sharing of experiences, those attending the training session reflected on their essential role in ensuring that justice is fair, swift and understandable to those who use the system.

This event was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe project “Support to Further Modernisation of Court Management in Georgia”. The project supports the continued application of European standards and contributes to the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024–2027.
