On 4 and 5 November 2021, in Vlorë (Albania), the CEPEJ started a series of trainings to improve the judicial statistical data collection system, based on the CEPEJ methodology, in a uniformed way, in particular concerning court registers.
The regional workshops provided an opportunity for the national courts to better understand their role in the implementation of new methodology for the improvement of the court performance and the justice services.
The training was attended by the staff of the Albanian courts, chancellors and administrative staff in charge of the collection of statistics and manual registers of the courts. Managers of the court organiasation and standards and IT Department in High Judicial Council also participated, which contributed to an interactive session and important clarifications about the unification of court registers, which will be the next step of the Action’s support to complete the new methodology for data collection.
The regional training workshops have been organised as part of the second phase of the "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey - Phase II" programme, co-financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
