CEPEJ experts are conducting a series of trainings on the new methodology for the collection of the judicial data as part of its support to the High Judicial Council (HJC).
In accordance with the Law No. 115/2016 on Governance Institutions of the Justice System, HJC adopted a Guide on the collection of data and completion of the charts on statistical data for the measuring and monitoring of the productivity and efficiency of courts, based on CEPEJ guidelines.
This Guide provides for a framework and rules for harmonised data collection and reporting in all Albanian courts, in order to use judicial statistics as tools for an efficient management and increased transparency, and accountability of court activities.
Following the training of staff of the department of statistics in the HJC, CEPEJ experts will also train the staff at all court levels.
The action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania” is part of the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” joint programme, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
