Opinion No. 24 on the evolution of the Councils for the Judiciary and their role for independent and impartial judicial systems
The Committee of Ministers has entrusted the CCJE for 2021, having regard to Recommendation Rec(2010)12 on judges: independence, efficiency and responsibilities, with the preparation and adoption of an opinion for the attention of the Committee of Ministers on the evolution of the Councils for the Judiciary and their role for independent and impartial judicial system. The draft opinion will be submitted for adoption at the 22nd plenary meeting of the CCJE, from 10 to 12 November 2021 in Strasbourg.
Working group
The working group in charge of drafting the opinion will hold its 40th and 41st meetings of the Working Group on 24-26 March 2021 and 9-11 June 2021, respectively. The composition of the Working group is as follows:
