4th Meeting of the Working Group on the Implementation of the Strategic Plan for the Bern Convention for the period to 2030

The fourth meeting of the Working Group on the Implementation of the Strategic Plan for the Bern Convention for the period to 2030 was held online on 4 March 2026.

Representatives of the Contracting Parties and observers reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the Strategic Plan as a means of mobilising support, driving progress, and assessing results under the Bern Convention.

Participants further defined the work to be undertaken for the implementation of the Strategic Plan in line with its indicators. They provided input on the factsheets for each indicator, as well as on the terms of reference for individual assessment studies.

In addition, the Working Group agreed on the workplan for 2026 and provided inputs on the mid-term review of the Strategic Plan expected in 2027.
