Back 11th Meeting of the Group of Experts on Invasive Alien Species (IAS)

The Bern Convention Group of Experts on Invasive Alien Species (IAS), created in 1992, meets for the 11th time in Slovenia, 4-5 June 2015. The meeting will focus on a number of new codes of conduct on IAS and activities and topics such as hunting, recreational fishing and IAS and protected areas. The group of experts will review the implementation of the European Strategy on Invasive Alien Species and of the Code of Conduct on Hunting and Invasive Alien Species.

The meeting should equally contribute to the exchange of experience in successful/failed operations in the control of IAS in Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as on the positive conservation gains and the restoration of ecosystems after eradication.
