GRETA has issued a new Compendium of good practices in addressing trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labour exploitation, based on its country evaluation reports.

Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labour exploitation has been on the rise and has emerged as the predominant form of exploitation in some European countries. The compendium aims to highlight effective measures taken by States Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings to prevent and combat trafficking for the purpose of labour exploitation, and to provide food for thought and direction in their future efforts. It will serve as the basis of a guidance note which is being prepared by GRETA as part of the implementation of the Secretary General’s Roadmap on strengthening action against trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labour exploitation.
