Training needs assessment for the criminal justice sector

On 28 April 2021, the project “Prevention of and fight against trafficking in human beings” presented the results of a training needs assessment for the criminal justice sector to its partners and beneficiaries.

Some of the report's recommendations were as follows:

- the creation of a better understanding of the specificities of trafficking in order to effectively combat and prevent trafficking in human beings;

- the implementation of a victim-friendly approach at all stages of the criminal justice process;

- strengthening of the inter-institutional cooperation and coordination.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Xhelal Svecla, the Deputy Minister Mr. Blerim Gashari and other key partners in the criminal justice sector attended the meeting and reiterated their commitment to strengthen their institutional capacity to respond to the challenge of trafficking with the support of the Council of Europe.
