An eight-member delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will carry out a mission from 6 to 8 February to observe the repeat early elections for the president of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina), taking place on 8 February. On election day, four Congress teams will be deployed randomly to observe electoral procedures in the 136 polling stations where the repeat vote will be held.
The delegation will meet with members of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and representatives of candidates. The delegation will also hold panel discussions with NGO representatives.
A preliminary statement of findings will be released on the Congress website on Monday 9 February, at approximately 14:00.
