Congress to observe local elections in San Marino

A 8-member delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, will carry out a mission from 21 to 24 November to observe local elections taking place on 23 November in San Marino. On election day, three Congress teams will be deployed randomly throughout the country to observe electoral procedures at polling stations.

The delegation will meet with the National Delegation of San Marino to the Congress, the Board of Township Councils and the youth delegate of San Marino to the Congress, the Secretariat of State for Internal Affairs, as well as the Electoral Commission. The delegation will also hold panel discussions with media and NGO representatives and briefings with candidates running in the elections. 

A press release with preliminary findings will be published on Monday 24 November at 13h00 (approx.) on the Congress website.
