Interview with Mr Eric Ruelle,
Judge and Chairperson of the Committee of the Parties to the Lanzarote
Convention

30.05.12 Mr Ruelle describes the two main objectives of the work of the
Lanzarote Committee: firstly, to monitor the implementation of Lanzarote
Convention in the State Parties, and secondly, to facilitate the
collection and exchange of information and good practices between member
states on how to better protect children against sexual violence and
sexual exploitation.
The Lanzarote Committee adopted its Rules of Procedure at its second
meeting held in March 2012 and decided to monitor the implementation of
the Convention in the State Parties according to a thematic approach.
