submitted against Greece for non-respect of provisions of the
Charter relating to
remuneration and working conditions

[16/02/2011] Two complaints were registered on 21 February 2011. According to the complainant trade unions
General Federation of employees of the national electric
power corporation (GENOP-DEI)
/ Confederation of Greek Civil Servants’ Trade Unions (ADEDY)
measures relating to remuneration and working conditions contained in Act No. 3899/2010 of 17 December 2010 are in violation of
certain provisions of the European Social Charter.
Complaint No. 65
concerns an alleged violation of Article 4 (right to a fair remuneration) of the European Social Charter and Article 3 of the Additional Protocol of 1988 (Right to take part in the determination and improvement of the working conditions and working environment).
Complaint No. 66
concerns measures relating to the remuneration and working
conditions of young people which allegedly violate Articles 1 (right
to work) , 4 (right to a fair remuneration), 7 (the right of
children and young persons to protection), 10 (right to vocational
training), and 12 (right to social security) of the European Social
Charter.
