Exploratory workshop on co-operation opportunities: “Teaching Intercultural Dialogue and Religious Diversity around the Mediterranean”, 16-17 May in the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon, Portugal

On 16-17 May, the North-South Centre held an exploratory workshop entitled “Teaching Intercultural Dialogue and Religious Diversity around the Mediterranean” in Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop was held in co-operation with the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research (GEI) (Germany) and the Swedish Institute (Alexandria, Egypt) and in partnership with the Anna Lindh Foundation, European Association of History Educators (EUROCLIO), the European Wergeland Centre (EWC), the Institute for the Study of Muslim Cultures and Civilisations (ISMC), the Aga Khan Development Network, the Euro-Mediterranean University and the Alliance of Civilizations. The purpose of the meeting was to gather experts and institutions active in the field to share experiences, map existing Euro-Mediterranean initiatives and develop strategies for future joint actions and educational guidelines.
