18.04.2011 - We can prevent child sexual abuse; it's a
matter of choice. With this message, an NGO in the
United States, TAALK, is organising a 24hr Internet
radio show to raise awareness on child sexual abuse on
30th April. Each hour, there will be guest speakers
covering various topics relating to child sexual abuse,
its prevention and support.
On the segment "Building a Europe for and with Children",
Regína Jensdóttir,
Head of the Children's Rights Policy Division, Marja
Ruotanen, Director of Co-operation, Liri Kopaçi-di
Michele, Head of Information Society and Protection of
Integrity of Persons Division and Gordana Buljan Flander,
Psychologist and Psychotherapist, will present the work
of the Council of Europe to combat child sex abuse and
its legal instruments such as the
Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of
Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse
and the
Guidelines of the Committee of Ministers of the Council
of Europe on child friendly justice.
