16.04.2012 - On 24 April 2012, during the second
part-session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of
Europe, the 7th meeting of the network of contact
parliamentarians for the ONE in FIVE Campaign will take
place.
The results of the survey on the “obligation to report
suspicion of sexual exploitation or sexual abuse against
children”, which was sent to national parliaments and to the
European Parliament on January 2012 via the European Centre
for Parliamentary Research and Documentation, will be
presented to the participants.
The debate on reporting suspected sexual violence against
children will be preceded by the presentations of Mr
Johannes-Wilhelm Rörig, Independent Representative on
Questions of Sexual Abuse of Children (Germany), of Ms
Deirdre Clune, contact parliamentarian for Ireland and of Ms
Catherine Bonnet, Psychiatric Consultant for children and
adolescents in France and the United Kingdom.
Ms Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, Deputy Secretary General of the
Council of Europe, will give an update on the achievements
and prospects of the Council of Europe ONE in FIVE Campaign.
