22.11.2011 – The Sub-Committee on Children participated in the high-level Conference on the Council of Europe Strategy for the Rights of the Child 2012-2015 which was held in Monaco on 20-21 November 2011.

The Sub-Committee on Children met on 21 November at the Grimaldi Forum, in the presence of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, for high level round table on “The effective implementation of strategies for the protection of children: the interaction between public authorities, the private sector and civil society”.

Numerous participants attended the Sub-Committee meeting, notably Ms de Boer-Buquicchio, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, as well as Sub-Committee members and representatives of the National Council of the Principality of Monaco, of the Monegasque Government and of NGOs.

On the initiative of Mr Marquet, contact parliamentarian of Monaco for the ONE in FIVE Council of Europe Campaign to stop sexual violence against children, the parliamentary dimension of the ONE in FIVE Campaign was launched in Monaco, with the support of the National Council.
