One in Five

European directive introduces harder measures
for combating violence against children


18.11.2011 – The new directive (PE-CONS 51/11) is calling for child abuse images or child pornography to be removed at source in all EU countries. Blocking web-sites with illegal content is proposed as supplementary measure. EU member states will have two years to transpose the new rules in their national laws and they should support the child victim during investigations and legal proceedings.
