Launch of the ONE in FIVE Campaign in Catalonia, Spain
06.11.2012 - The Council of Europe ONE in FIVE Campaign in the Spanish region of Catalonia was launched in October 2012 by the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality, the Spanish Federation of Associations for the prevention of child abuse and neglect (FAPMI), the Catalan Association for Abused Children (ACIM), the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia and the Council of Europe.
On the occasion of the launch of the campaign, Mrs Eulàlia Palau, President of ACIM gave an interview to TV3, a Catalan TV channel. In this interview, Mrs Palau presents the Council of Europe ONE in FIVE Campaign explaining the key messages of the awareness raising material “La Regla de Kiko”, which aims to teach children that their body belongs to them, that there are good and bad secrets, that they should speak up and talk to a teacher or a parent, someone they trust when they need help.
The ONE in FIVE Campaign was launched at the national level in Spain in November 2011 by the Spanish Federation of Associations for the prevention of child abuse and neglect (FAPMI), the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality and the Council of Europe.
The Campaign was also promoted in other regions of Spain such as in the autonomous community of Cantabria, and in Murcia, and activities relating to the ONE in FIVE Campaign have been also carried out in Bilbao. The ONE in FIVE awareness raising material is currently available in Spanish and in Catalan.
