National campaigns



The Council of Europe programme “Building a Europe for and with children” has established a network of government-appointed focal points in the 47 member states.

The focal points are in the best position to encourage national and local government actors to join forces with the NGOs and civil society groups already actively working to set up national campaign teams.

The national campaign teams can:
  • promote the setting up of multi-stakeholder teams to design, implement and evaluate the campaign at national level
  • provide guidance for NGOs at national, regional and municipal levels
  • develop a national campaign action plan
  • provide a template for a national campaign website, which can be linked to the Council of Europe campaign website.
