From 21 to 23 September 2016, Mr François Friederich, Head of the Division of Electoral Assistance, DGII of Democracy participates in the 25th annual conference of the ACEEEO.

The Conference takes place in Tirana, Albania – country which holds the presidency of the ACEEEO. It focuses on an overview of the general trends which were present in the electoral legislation and practice of ACEEEO member’s states in the last 25 years.

Mr Friederich intervention during the opening session focused on the activities developed in the last ten years by the Division of Electoral Assistance with particular focus on access to media as part of electoral education.

This includes awareness raising of various groups such as first-time voters, young voters, elderly, minorities, under-represented groups.
