The Council of Europe (the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reforms) is organising in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure a workshop to report on piloting of the Local Finance Benchmarking toolkit, which has been adjusted to local needs, in 7 municipalities in Georgia. In addition there will be shown the new LFB web-application designed to foster its application in Eastern Partnership countries. The workshop is to be held on 6 of April 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The event will gather participants from the two neighbouring EaP countries Georgia and Armenia, encouraging the exchange of views and opinions. Among the participants will be representatives of line ministries, representatives of local authorities and associations of local authorities interested in the subject, as well as local experts involved in the project from the two countries.
The event is organized within the Programme "Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance in the Eastern Partnership countries" under the Programmatic Cooperation Framework (PCF) for 2015-2017 funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Council of Europe.
