Fourth meeting of the Project Steering Committee of the Joint Project on Supporting Individual Application to the Constitutional Court of Turkey was held on 4 October 2017 in Ankara.
Representatives of the Constitutional Court as the main beneficiary institution, the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Ministry of Justice, the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, the Justice Academy of Turkey, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, EU Delegation and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit who are the stakeholders of the project attended the meeting in addition to the Ombudsman Institution and the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey who participated as observers. Following the opening speeches of Michael Ingledow, Head of the Council of Europe Ankara Programme Office and Selim Erdem, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court; Yücel Erduran, Project Manager and Stephanie Jung, Project Coordinator briefed the participants on the activities implemented since the last Project Steering Committee Meeting held in April, 2017 and on the activities planned for the next period. The meeting ended following the comments and recommendations of stakeholders.
