Lithuania makes a voluntary contribution for Action Plans and projects

In the framework of its Presidency of the Committee of Ministers, the Government of Lithuania has made a voluntary contribution of €150 000 towards several Council of Europe Action Plans and projects, in line with the priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency.

This contribution will support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Azerbaijan 2022-2025, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022-2025, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027, the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024 and its successor Action Plan, co-operation with representatives of Belarusian democratic forces and civil society, the campaign for the safety of journalists "Journalists matter" and the safety of Journalists Platform, as well as to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.

The agreement was signed on 17 May 2024 by Ms Ingrida Šimonytė, Prime Minister of Lithuania, and Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General.
