The second Working Group meeting on the development of the rehabilitation programme for alcohol-dependent offenders under probation took place on 19–20 May 2026, bringing together representatives of the National Probation Inspectorate and practitioners from territorial probation offices.
Building on the outcomes of the first meeting organised in March, the Programme and its piloting plan were developed in full, offering the working group the opportunity to further explore key aspects of psychoeducation in alcohol abuse and the practical implementation of individual, group, and family counselling sessions, while analysing the strategies to motivate beneficiaries to join and remain engaged throughout the programme.
The probation counsellors used the opportunity to exchange experiences with their colleagues from different offices through practical and peer exchange activities, and to discuss the programme piloting plan in selected probation offices.
The activity was organised under the auspices of the Project “Further strengthening the prison and probation systems, the provision of health care, and the treatment of patients in closed institutions in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented through the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova (2025-2028).
