Revision of the in-service police training curricula

The first working group (WG) meeting aimed at strengthening the provision of in-service police training took place in Skopje on 17-18 January 2017. The aim of the meeting was to review the existing programmes and curricula for in-service police training and to draft recommendations for improvement based on the findings of the assessment mission, which was conducted in November 2016.  The assessment report was presented and the WG members discussed the possibilities for strengthening the in-service police training and the potential revision of the three modules developed under the scope of a previous Joint Programme.

The meeting was facilitated by two international consultants for a total of 8 working group members, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including police officers from different police stations and staff members of the Police Training Center.

The working group meeting was organised within the scope of the Project ‘’Enhancing Human Rights Policing”, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe within the “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey”.
