Training for the Georgian temporary detention isolators’ medical staff

On 4-6 March 2020, the first group of the Temporary Detention Isolators’ (TDI) doctors underwent the training on quality health-care service delivery and interviewing techniques of victims of ill-treatment.

During three-day training, participants increased their knowledge of CPT standards on healthcare service delivery in closed institutions, the Georgian Law on psychiatric care, and other relevant topics.

This activity was organised within the framework of the CoE Project “Juvenile and Adult Detainees Support” (JADES), which is designed to address issues related to the rights of detained persons and their treatment, crimes committed by/against juveniles, effective remedies against police misconduct, and effective investigation of alleged ill-treatment.

We work together to promote Human rights, Democracy and Rule of Law!
