Retour Training in Communication and Awareness Raising Campaigns

Training in Communication and Awareness Raising Campaigns

The Council of Europe Office in Georgia organised the workshop for the Georgian Bar Association (GBA) on conducting awareness raising campaigns. The representatives of the GBA, including the Executive Director and senior staff involved in communication, attended the workshop.

The meeting was led by the international expert in communications, awareness raising and behavioral science. During the two sessions of the workshop the expert presented best practices in running awareness raising campaigns and discussed common mistakes  undermining the campaigners’ efforts. The expert presented the contemporary research on the effectiveness of awareness raising activities among the citizens.

The GBA seeks to promote the role of lawyers in society and to further enhance its own image among its members. With the Council of Europe’s expert support the organisation is currently working on a new communication strategy and an action plan. This training will allow its management and staff to plan and implement internal and external communication activities more effectively.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Support to the Profession of Lawyer in Georgia”, implemented with the support of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Netherlands, Liechtenstein,  Latvia, the Human Rights Trust Fund, and the Fund to End Violence Against Children.
