The annual Justice Week took place from 4 October until 10 October. The aim of the event is to introduce the work of courts to the public and to bring justice closer to the people. This year Justice Week focused on disputes related to children and families, as well as debt problems, which affect tens of thousands of people in Estonia every year. During the week were organised lectures, movie nights, excursions in the old Liivalaia County Court house and also, the Supreme Court announced the traditional case competition for primary and secondary school students. Judges and lawyers also appeared more than usual in the media, giving interviews and publishing opinions
