Information page on initiatives, practices, statements and guidelines on women’s rights and the COVID-19 pandemic now available

A wealth of information on action taken by member states of the Council of Europe, as well as by its bodies and committees, by international organisations and NGOs to analyse and mitigate the impact of the current pandemic on women’s rights is now available on a dedicated resource page. Following a joint call for information, the members of the Council of Europe Gender Equality Commission and the Committee of the Parties to the Istanbul Convention have provided comprehensive information on national measures taken to prevent and combat domestic, sexual and gender-based violence, and to mitigate the impact of the current crisis on equality between women and men.

This webpage serves as a platform for inspiration, synergies and exchange of practices, as much as a resource tool for anyone in need of information about what states, international organisations and NGOs are doing to put the protection of women’s rights at the heart of the fight against the pandemic.
