Moldovan lawyers start training on the Council of Europe HELP online course on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence

Over 80 lawyers from the Republic of Moldova are enrolled in the first HELP course on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence launched in the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with the Center for the training of Lawyers. The online launch event was held on 9 October 2023. The group was welcomed by Vladimir Palamarciuc, HELP Info Point for Moldova.

Ana-Maria Telbis, Deputy Head of the Justice and Human Rights Training Division at the CoE introduced the group to the Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme and made an overview of the CoE HELP e-learning platform and the training catalogue containing over 50 online courses and various human rights related topics.

Ana Elefterescu, Senior Project Officer at the Cybercrime Programme Office presented the Budapest Conventio on Cybercrime and the work of the Council of Europe on cybercrime and electronic evidence. Together with Catalina Stroe, Project Manager at the Cybercrime Programme Office, they replied to the practical questions raised by participants.

The national context related to cybercrime and electronic evidence and some practical challenges were introduced by Sergiu Lisnic, Head of Risk and Information Analysis in the Directorate of General Inspectorate of Border Police.

Vladimir Palamarciuc and Vadim Vieru, HELP national course tutors, presented the HELP online course on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence and introduced the participants to the specific national content added on the course page, timeline and evaluation methods. Successful participants will receive HELP certificates issues in cooperation with the Center for the Training of Lawyers.

The HELP online course on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence has a duration of 10 hours and is accessible also in self-learning (open, self-paced) format at this link. It is available in 13 languages, among which English and Romanian. Participants who complete all the modules can generate electronic Statements of Accomplishment in proof of their acquired knowledge and skills.
