Back Children's rights the focus of two HELP course launches in Moldova

Two Council of Europe HELP courses related to children's rights were launched last week for legal professionals in Moldova.

On 4 June, the HELP course on Family Law and Human Rights was launched in cooperation with the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), for a group of 48 participants, including judges and prosecutors as well as representatives of the Governmental Agent Department and of the Ombudsperson for Children’s Rights.

The course will be implemented during the next two months where successful participants will be certified by the Council of Europe and the NIJ.

The course on Family and Human Rights was developed in 2019 under the EU financed project “HELP in the EU“ and is currently available in English and French, as well as Lithuanian, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian and Spanish. You can access this course for free in the HELP online platform.

On 5 June, the HELP course on Child Friendly Justice was launched in cooperation with Lawyers Union of the Republic of Moldova. 41 lawyers and trainee lawyers will be taking this course in an online format in the next 3 months.

The course was published in 2017. It comprises of 9 substantive modules. It is available in the HELP online platform in English as well as Albanian, Georgian, Romanian, Russian and Ukrainian, as well as in a version for Montenegrin users.
