Back Current challenges and opportunities for social rights protection in the light of the Revised European Social Charter

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European Social Charter, the Polish Section of the Academic Network on the European Social Charter and Social Rights (ANESC), in collaboration with the University of Bialystok, Poland and with the support of the Department of the European Social Charter of the Council of Europe, is organising an online event on current challenges and opportunities for social rights protection in the light of the Revised European Social Charter on 23 November 2021 10:00 - 17:00 CET).

The main objective of the event is to deepen the knowledge on the protection of social rights and encourage the Polish government to work towards a ratification of the Revised European Social Charter and the Additional Protocol providing for a system of collective complaints. Therefore, several provisions of the Revised European Social Charter will be presented and discussed.

Academics with different background and expertise will discuss topics such children’s rights, labour rights, health, social security and education.

The event will be held online via ZOOM in Polish and English with simultaneous interpretation into English and French.
