Memorandum of Understanding on awareness raising of Georgian civil servants on prevention of the misuse of administrative resources and campaign violation during electoral processes

On 25 September, high officials from the Central Election Commission of Georgia, the Inter-agency Task Force for Free and Fair Elections, the Civil Service Bureau and the Council of Europe Office in Georgia signed the Memorandum of Understanding on supportinng of awareness raising of civil servants on prevention of the misuse of administrative resources during electoral processes.

The activity facilitated the implementation of the E-learning course for civil servants aiming at prevention of the misuse of administrative resources during electoral processes. The E-learning course was developed by the Central Election Commission and the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training in cooperation with the Council of Europe electoral assistance project.

The signing ceremony, which was followed by the presentation of the web-platform and the E-learning course, brought together representatives of governmental agencies, the Election Administration of Georgia, civil society organisations and international community.

The event was carried out within the framework of the Council of Europe Project ‘Supporting Transparency, Inclusiveness and Integrity of Electoral Practice and Process in Georgia’.
