Around 30 members and staff of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, Centre for Continuous Electoral Training, and Central Electoral Council of ATU Gagauzia took part in a 2-day workshop organised by the Council of Europe (CoE) aimed at supporting them in developing their new strategic documents and planning for next 4 years.

During this workshop, the participants actively discussed the draft Strategic programmes prepared, between July and December 2023, by the Election Administration with the support of CoE local and international consultants using the CoE URSO (Useful, Relevant, Sustainable and Owned) methodology for strategic planning and prioritisation of electoral co-operation. Participants made number of suggestions and recommendations which were included in all three draft strategic documents prior to their approval.

All three draft strategic documents will be finalized by the end of 2023 and proposed for public consultations in accordance with the Moldovan Government decision no.386 of 17 June 2020 on planification, development, approval, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policy documents. Finally, each beneficiary institution has to approve its respective Strategic Programme at the beginning of 2024 in view of its further implementation.
