New resource for schools in France
Creating games on cybersecurity

The French Ministry of Education has just launched the resource named ‘Le kit CyberEnJeux’, designed to help teachers build a step-by-step teaching sequence on cyber security and develop skills in learning through games.

Comprising four accompanying booklets that can be used independently, the kit can be used to organise game design sessions focused on cybersecurity during which teachers can involve their pupils in designing board games that they can then play with their peers.

‘Le kit CyberEnJeux’ was produced by the French Information Systems Security Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Education, is available in free distribution format (under Etalab open licence) and can be easily adapted and translated.

The best practice above as been shared via the DCE Promoters' Network, created in 2019 to facilitate the implementation of digital citizenship education at schools and other non-formal and/or informal learning contexts and to promote it at local, regional, and national levels. DCE Promoters have carried out numerous activities that are aimed at policy makers, teachers, students, teacher trainers, families, and school inspectors.
