COVID-19 is dominating all the news at the moment and the heritage sector is being heavily affected. Planned meetings and events have had to be cancelled, heritage sites have been closed, causing substantial financial losses to tourism and the wider culture/heritage sector. Heritage professionals are further challenged to be as creative as possible and forced to turn to “digital participation” in cultural heritage. Meetings and events are taking place via video conferencing and online exhibitions and virtual tours are being created, demonstrating the sector’s ability to adapt in new ways.
In order to mitigate the bad news about COVID-19 and to maximize the quality of your confinement time, you are invited to send us new inspirational best project examples/practices in the framework of our ST21 work.
This year, special attention is being given to heritage education best practices and projects, one of the three main components of ST21 being education and knowledge.
At the same time, we are embracing the main theme of the 2020 European Heritage Days - “Heritage and Education: learning for life”.
And even if your best practices are not dedicated specifically to education, all the best practices that you send us will be considered and published on our dedicated ST21 website.
