National Advisory Meeting on
“The Potential of Cultural Routes for Azerbaijan”
28-29 February 2020
The Training provides an overview of the main characteristics of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme and presents case studies and best practices from the certified Cultural Routes, serving as an essential reference for managers, developers, stakeholders and representatives of member States interested in the implementation of Cultural Routes.
It addresses aspects ranging from the Council of Europe’s conventions to co-creation, fundraising, governance and marketing of Cultural Routes.
The Training consists of 4 modules with the aim to:
- explore the process of creation of a cultural route according to the criteria established by the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme;
- focus on the evaluation cycle of cultural routes, the criteria for the award of the “Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe” certification and the preparation of applications for certification;
- explore key principles for transnational connectivity, network governance and cooperation within and between Cultural Routes;
- present examples of successful cases and good practices implemented by the certified Cultural Routes with regards to the five priority fields of action;
- discuss branding, marketing and communication strategies for Cultural Routes in connection with best practices;
- present examples of national best practices for Azerbaijan.
The Meeting is organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
