On 28 July 2020, Austria ratified the Council of Europe Convention on Laundering, Search, Seizure and Confiscation of the Proceeds from Crime and on the Financing of Terrorism (CETS No. 198), with entry into force of the Convention in respect of Austria on 1 November 2020.
