@ Council of Europe

@ Council of Europe

A Working Group meeting to discuss a transformation of the evaluation system for probation staff was held online on 26 October 2023. This event was attended by 10 individuals, including Armenia's Probation Service senior officials and local and international consultants, and was designed as a collaborative platform for creating a more efficient and effective probation staff evaluation system.

This meeting has laid foundations for the work to be continued in 2024. As a result of the meeting, a list of questions was prepared that will help to clarify a wide range of issues such as the scope of the current evaluation system, its objectives, core activities of staff appraised, performance indicators, self-assessment, etc., and to plan further activities of the Working Group.

This event is part of the Council of Europe’s support within the framework of the Project “Strengthening the Probation Service in Armenia” to assist national authorities in facilitating the use of probation services in the country, thus enhancing community safety and fair administration of justice. The Project is financed within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026 and implemented by the Council of Europe.
