The final version of a training course on “Dynamic security, communication skills, and pro-social modelling” was presented online on 17 December 2020 in Kyiv.
The three-day training course was developed to improve professional competencies and skills of the penitentiary staff necessary for the effective performance of their tasks and functions. It will improve their understanding of the principles and approaches towards dynamic security in penitentiary institutions.
The course includes a manual for trainers, an e-training version and other related training materials for a duration of 24 academic hours. Each training module has learning objectives and evaluations for trainees to measure the impact of the training. The course can be used both for conducting face-to-face trainings and for distance learning, as appropriate.
It is foreseen that this training course will be incorporated into the system of professional training of staff within the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine.
This activity was organised within the EU and Council of Europe Joint Project "Support to Prison Reform in Ukraine – JP-SPERU", which is designed to promote human rights compliant management of prisons, including better alignment of prison healthcare provisions with European standards.
