An assessment of the progress achieved in the implementation of Action Plans aimed at reorganising Prison no. 7-Rusca (for women), no. 10-Goian (for young offenders) and Prison nr. 1-Taraclia (for males) was conducted online from 23 to 25 September 2020 in a form of workshop.
The Action Plans were drafted as a follow-up to an assessment mission conducted between 29 June and 2 July 2020 to the pilot prisons.
As a result of the Workshop, the Change Management Teams, composed of representatives of the pilot penitentiary institutions and from the National Administration of Penitentiaries, presented the progress achieved in the implementation of the Action Plans, such as: introduction of changes to the prisons’ organigrams; modification of job descriptions and simplification of internal procedures; and approval of a new vision and mission of the prisons.
