The visit was organised within the framework of the US/CoE project Enhancing recruitment procedures and training of staff for the State prison of BH.

The members of the study visit group, comprising of the representatives of the State and Entities Ministry of Justice, visited Ljubljana, Ig and Dob prisons in Slovenia.

 The emphasis was placed on exchange of views among the senior prison professionals on the key issues of prison staff recruitment and selection with particular focus on the processes that are used in practice to assess applicants against the required competences. The experiences exchanged during this study visit are expected to feed directly into the draft Policy paper on human resources management for the State prison BiH whose draft is being finalised at the moment.
