A second coordination meeting on the revision of the Methodology on the organisation and delivery of professional training of the prison system employees was held on 29 July 2020.
The meeting was focused on the revision of the key elements of the Methodology: induction training process, in-service training and continuous professional development; self-directed learning; training in the field of foreign languages; documents for the organisation, planning, analysis and record of the continuing professional training; evaluation of training and of the continuing professional development of staff.
This coordination meeting marks the end of the consultations on the revision of the Methodology and its harmonisation with the current legal framework, namely the Law 300/2017 on the prison administration system, the Strategy for the Development of Human Resources within the prison system and the Curriculum for the initial training of prison staff, all prepared under the Council of Europe Programme “Promoting a human rights compliant criminal justice system in the Republic of Moldova”.
Organised online, the coordination meeting was attended by representatives of the Training Centre of the National Administration of Penitentiaries (NAP), concerned NAP departments and directorates (institutional management, legal, human resources), by representatives of individual penitentiaries (no. 5 Cahul and no. 12 Bender) and was facilitated by the Council of Europe consultants.
