At their 1540th meeting, on 15 October, the Ministers’ Deputies held their regular exchange with Secretary General Alain Berset, following his participation at the 10th Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth (Valletta, Malta, 8-9 October) and the 35th anniversary of the Venice Commission (Venice, Italy, 10-11 October), among other issues.
The Deputies held their first exchange of views with Mr Mattias Guyomar, President of the European Court of Human Rights. The exchange was focusing on the current situation at the Court, as well as on the case law and principles [more information ...].
In addition, Ms Pavla Burešová, President of the Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs (CETS No. 216) and Mr Christian Tournié, President of the Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes involving threats to public health (MEDICRIME Convention, CETS No. 211), presented the work and achievements of their respective committees to the Deputies.
