At the start of their 1511th meeting on 6 November 2024, the Ministers’ Deputies observed a minute of silence in memory of the numerous victims of the terrorist attack in Türkiye on 23 October, the floods in Spain on 29/30 October and the railway station collapse in Serbia on 1 November.
The Deputies took note of the draft text of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and the Council of Europe on co-operation for the establishment of a Council of Europe Information Point for Belarusian People in Vilnius (Lithuania) and authorised the Secretary General to sign it in due course [more information ...].
They also held exchanges of views with:
- Ms Claire Bazy Malaurie, President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), devoted to the impact of the Commission's work [more information …]; and
- Mr Nicola Muccioli, Chair of the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL), and Ms Elisa de Anda Madrazo, Chair of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), on current and upcoming activities, current trends and challenges [more information ...].
